The devil's own ericas

Walking up on the Saddle between Devil's Peak and Table Mountain yesterday there was a profusion of dark pink ericas that were unfamiliar to me. Looking them up later I see that they are the Devil's Peak Red Erica, Erica abietina subsp. diabolis. In amongst them were some red, more "normal" Erica abietina flowers - probably Erica abietina subsp. abietina.
